All About November’s Birthstone: Citrine

Every month has a birthstone, and November’s just happens to be citrine. The citrine is a yellowish-gold stone that is believed to have many different meanings and healing powers. On top of this, it can be made into many different types of jewelry, from rings to pendants. Unlike opal, which is believed to put a “jinx” on you if you wear it and it isn’t your birthstone, there is no such superstition about citrine. This means that no matter which month you were born in, you can wear jewelry made from it!

Citrine Basics
Citrine is a type of quartz. Quartz is a crystal that is quite abundant in the earth; it can be found in many different colors, all of which depend on its particular chemical composition. Some semi-precious stones fall into the quartz category. These include citrine, amethyst, carnelian, agate, jasper, tiger’s eye, onyx and chalcedony. Although quartz crystals have some industrial uses, the aforementioned varieties are primarily used in jewelry.

The citrine is normally a pale yellow color, but it can range from orange to brown to greenish-yellow and even gold. When the stone is cut properly and set into a pendant, ring, or other piece of jewelry, it can look a lot like a topaz. However, citrine and topaz differ in hardness, making it easy to tell them apart on that level. For the most part, citrine is found in Brazil and Spain, but it is mined in other parts of the world, as well.
Healing Powers and Other Meanings
Some New Age believes compare the citrine to the power of the sun. That is, it holds warmth and positive energy, and can make negative energy dissipate back into the atmosphere. The citrine can also help clear your mind, increase your self-esteem, and physically, improve your digestion. On a non-New Age level, the citrine is a traditional gift for a 13th anniversary.

Citrine Jewelry
Citrine gemstone jewelry is very popular and although citrine is considered a semi-precious gemstone, when cut properly, it looks amazing and can be pricey – but not as expensive as precious stones, like diamonds. For example, an 18 carat citrine set into a 14 karat gold ring with diamond accents costs around $2,600.00. When you compare that to the cost of an 18 carat diamond, the citrine looks affordable! Other excellent uses for the citrine include earrings (both dangling styles, as well as single stud ones), pendants, and even bracelets. Like the example above, citrine is usually used as the primary stone, with accents of diamonds and either sterling silver or gold settings.
Whether or not your birthday is in November, you can wear citrine jewelry. However, if you were born in this eleventh month, then you no doubt have an affinity for the gemstone.

Celebrate Your Loved One’s October Birthday with Her Birthstone: Tourmaline

October is known for many things: Halloween and Columbus Day are two that come to mind. Others include the weather changing to cooler temperatures, the leaves beginning to fall from the trees after changing colors, and, of course, tourmaline gemstone jewelry. Yes, tourmaline – the birthstone for those born in October. This gemstone is available in several colors, all of which fit this month of autumn perfectly.

About Tourmaline
Tourmaline is classified as a semi-precious stone. This puts it in the same category as garnets, peridots, aquamarines and tanzanite, among others. These stones are more commonly found in nature, and thus are priced slightly lower than other, more precious gemstones like emeralds, rubies and diamonds. However, it is just as beautiful, if not more so, than these precious stones.
Tourmalines come in a number of different colors, but the most common is a deep purple-red. Other options include black (known as shorl), brown (davite) and deep blue, shades of green, yellow, and colorless. The color of the tourmaline depends on the levels of sodium iron within it. Interestingly, tourmaline also is known to have magnetic and pyroelectric properties, as the stone attracts and repels recently burned ashes.
The stone is found in several different places throughout the world, including the United States (most notably in Maine), Brazil, Nigeria, Tanzania and Afghanistan.

Tourmaline Jewelry
Tourmaline gemstone jewelry comes in many different styles, including rings, earrings and necklaces. Often it is paired with other gemstones, such as diamonds. Since it is a semi-precious stone, tourmaline rings, even those surrounded by tiny, inset diamonds, are a more affordable option than other dual-stone rings. However, they are no less beautiful. One good example of this is a 5-carat tourmaline stone, set into an 18 karat yellow gold setting and surrounded by several carats worth of small diamonds.
Other jewelry made from tourmalines include necklaces featuring a semi-polished version of the stones. These are left “uncut” and closely resemble their natural form, as opposed to the highly polished sort found in rings and pendants. Since tourmalines are found in so many different colors, these types of multi-strung necklaces are striking when seen in person!

How to Wear Tourmaline
Unlike other birthstones, opal, for example, that are bad luck to wear if they aren’t your birthstone (for the record, opal is also October’s birthstone), tourmaline can be worn by anyone, no matter what month they were born. A beautiful tourmaline ring or pendant goes perfectly with everything from work clothing to a pair of jeans and some boots, as well as evening wear, making it a very versatile and interesting piece.

September’s Birthstone: Sapphire Jewelry

Every month has a birthstone, based on early astrological associations. For those of you born in September, your birthstone is the sapphire, a blue stone that is mineralogically related to the ruby. Sapphire jewelry is the most common usage of this gemstone, as it appears in everything from necklaces to earrings, based on the size and composition of the stone.

About Sapphires
The sapphire is a primarily blue-colored stone that is found in many different countries, including Australia, Myanmar, Columbia, India, Kenya, Nepal, Sri Lanka, and the United States. The gemstone is categorized much like the ruby, and is therefore ranked according to its hue, tone and color saturation. Although sapphires are mostly blue in color, they can be also be green, purple, yellow, black and violet. There is also a type of sapphires called “star sapphires.” These stones are indeed sapphires, with one important difference – at their centers are a thin type of inclusion made up of a white-colored mineral that is related to titanium dioxide. This mineral forms a star-like shape that is visible through the sapphire’s exterior, hence its name.

Sapphire Necklaces and Bracelets
Sapphire necklaces can be designed in one of three ways: they can consist of a single sapphire suspended from a chain, or they can be set into a larger pendant alongside other stones, such as diamonds. (This pairing of clear diamonds and deep blue sapphires is a popular one.) The third idea, called a “tennis necklace” after the popular style of bracelet, consists of many smaller sapphires inset into a series of links that are connected into a chain. Bracelets are also designed in this manner, although some can feature the sapphires merely as large accent stones, meant to overpower the smaller diamonds inset into the links.
Sapphire Earrings and Rings
Sapphire earrings are designed as either simple studs (appropriate for smaller stones, as well as larger ones) or in elaborate chandelier styles. These earrings, like the pendants mentioned above, tend to have diamond accents. They dangle from your ears, go great with evening and formal wear, and tend to leave a large impact on anyone who sees you. Some sapphire rings also have diamonds inset alongside the larger, blue stone. They make excellent non-traditional engagement rings, in the style of the one given to Duchess Kate by her now-husband, Prince William. However, a sapphire ring can be worn on any finger, and used for any purpose: an anniversary or birthday gift, or a ‘just because I’m successful’ present.

You can wear the sapphire gemstone jewelry of your choice with just about anything. A necklace, bracelet, ring or smaller set of earrings (such as studs) can go with a dress, a work-related suit, or even a nice pair of jeans worn with boots while out on the town. It’s hard to go wrong with pieces that feature this classic gemstone.

Accentuate Your Style with Cable and Byzantine Link Chains

There's a reason why both cable and Byzantine link chains are so popular – they provide a stylish alternative to other chains, adding a little substance and style to your look. These chains are available in a number of different lengths, widths and metals, ensuring that you’ll have no trouble at all finding one to coordinate with the other pieces that you have on, whether they are watch, several rings, or a pair or two of earrings.

All About Byzantine Chains
Byzantine chains have a unique look. They consist of links that are looped in and through each other to form an unusual pattern that resembles a rope. The technical jewelry term for this is “four in one” meaning that four loops pass through one single loop. This keeps on repeating over and over throughout the entire length of the chain.
Byzantine chains were named for the Byzantine Empire, where the design originated. The Byzantine Empire was founded in the year 330 A.D by Constantine after he moved the seat of the Roman Empire to Constantinople (today, known as Istanbul in Turkey.)

Choose the Right Byzantine Chain
Byzantine chains are available in several different types of metal, including sterling silver, 14 karat gold and 10 karat gold. Both versions of gold chains come in your choice of either white or yellow gold, thus ensuring that you’ll find one for your needs. On top of this, the chains come in various lengths, such as 22, 26 and 30 inches, going all of the way to 40 inches long.

Background on Cable Chains
Cable chains are just as popular as Byzantine chains, even though they look different. Unlike the intricately linked loops of Byzantine chains, cable chains are much simpler. Each individual link loops though the ones that come before and after it, forming an uncomplicated pattern that resembles the construction paper chains made by students, albeit on a much more smaller, expensive and sophisticated scale.

Buying a Cable Chain
Cable chains come in a number of different metals and sizes, some designed for women, others for men. The ones for women are thinner (look for those that are 1.5 millimeters thick) and shorter (between 16 and 22 inches.) Cable chains for men are both thicker and longer. Despite these basic differences, both those for men and for women are available in 14K and 10K white and yellow gold, as well as in sterling silver.
Finding the best size, metal and style of chains is easy, thanks to the variety of cable chains and Byzantine chains available. You should have no problem at all expressing yourself with one – or more – of them!

Show Off Your Spiritual Side with Rosary Chains

In the beginning, rosary chains were used for prayer only. Each bead signified a specific prayer, making it easy to keep track of how many were done. Over time, simply carrying a rosary with you gave way to wearing one as an expression of one’s Catholic faith, although the practice is not unique to Catholics, as some other Christian denominations use it as well. Today, it is acceptable to wear a rosary outside of church, and keep it on as you go about your day.

 The History of Rosary Chains
Although the ideas behind the rosary were established around the 13th century, and a 15th century holy apparition was nicknamed “Our Lady of the Rosary,” they did not become popular with Catholics until the 16th century when they were embraced by Pope Pius V. The rosary is associated with the Virgin Mary, hence the emphasis placed on the Hail Mary prayer by worshippers.

The Beads on a Rosary
Like with all jewelry, some rosaries are simple, while others are more ornate. The beads on them can be made of any material, although high quality rosary chains have beads made of sterling silver and various shades of 10-karat gold. As described above, each bead calls for a specific prayer. The most common set up requires ten Hail Marys (the smaller beads) with a Lord’s Prayer represented by the larger, eleventh bead. The idea is to keep you from having to count the prayers, and instead reflect on their meanings as you move around the necklace.

Men’s Rosary Chains
There are rosary chains designed just for men (although, as with most jewelry, all of them can be worn or used by either gender). These tend to have a more masculine look, complete with black PVD (physical vapor deposition – a type of bonded metal coating developed by NASA) details. Stainless steel, 10K yellow gold, 10K white gold and sterling silver also provide a masculine edge, but what really makes a difference are the sizes of the beads. They are larger and “chunkier” on rosary chains designed for men.

Women’s Rosary Chains
Women can wear any of the men’s rosary chains, particularly the tri-color chains that come with beads made of 10K rose gold, 10K yellow gold and white rhodium surrounding sterling silver. Other rosary chains for women include one made entirely of 14K white gold with a diamond-accented heart at the center from which the cross dangles.

No matter what type of rosary chain you choose, the most important thing is that you wear it for the right reasons: to show the world how much you appreciate your faith!

Simple and Traditional CZ Earrings

Cubic Zirconia, also known in its shortened form as CZ, gets a bad rap. Many people associate it with “cheap” jewelry that is designed and sold for kids and tweens. However, that is wrong. In reality, cubic zirconia is an affordable alternative to diamonds, with all of the sparkle that goes along with them – but without the high price tag. It can be set into many different types of jewelry from bracelets to necklaces, but CZ earrings are the most popular.

The Basics of CZ
Unlike diamonds, rubies and other precious and semi-precious stones, cubic zirconia is man-made in a laboratory. It does resemble diamonds and other gemstones once it has been polished and cut, and it comes in many different colors, the most popular of which is clear and colorless. In fact, because a CZ is man-made, they are often completely colorless, unlike most diamonds, which even when considered the utmost of quality, rarely look as perfect. (For the record, other colors of CZ include black, purple, green, pink, golden brown, red and shades of yellow and orange.) CZ is made from zirconium dioxide, and once it is in its “mineral” state it is almost as hard as a diamond.

CZ Stud Earrings
The most popular style of CZ earrings is that of studs. To put it simply, these are earrings that don’t dangle from the earlobes. Instead, stud earrings consist of one or more stones set flush with a small post and a backing attached. These earrings are very traditional and simple, and can be worn just about anywhere and with anything. They are not flashy – even when the CZs consist of multiple carats, and can be worn to work, the grocery store and everywhere in between. Even men can wear a CZ earring of this type in the workplace.

Round or Square-Stoned CZ Earrings
Once you’ve decided to buy a pair of CZ earrings, the next question is: round or square-cut stones? Both are equally stylish, and the decision comes down to preference, more than anything else. A round-cut CZ, when set into a backing of 14K yellow or white gold, is the more classic of the two. However, a square-cut (also known as princess cut) set of CZ earrings is just as simple, albeit slightly more modern.
Once you’ve chosen the cut, the next choice is the size. Cubic zirconia are sold based on carat size, just like precious gemstones. The color of the stone (clear and black are the most traditional, and they match everything in your closet) and the color of the metal (either white or yellow 14K gold) are the decisions that you’ll need to make. The best part? Due to the price of CZ earrings, you don’t have to choose just one pair!

Silver Chains: Classic and Unforgettable

When it comes to jewelry, platinum and gold get all of the attention while metals like silver get overlooked. Despite the lack of flashiness, and its reputation as a less-expensive, less-trendy metal, silver should not be forgotten. A simple silver chain, pendant necklace, or other piece of jewelry is a classic alternative to the trendier pieces, and can truly be worn with everything at every time.

Types of Silver Chains
There are as many different type of sterling silver chains as there are gold ones, perhaps even more so. Silver chains can be designed for either men or women, with the thickness and link pattern providing the main difference between the two. Men’s silver chains are thicker and the links are closer together. Good examples of this are the Byzantine style and the Miami Cuban link chains. On the other hand, women’s silver chains are thinner and more “dainty.” Popular women’s styles include the mesh link and the twisted rope styles. However, one exception to this rule is the flat omega style of chain – these are made of flat, thick links placed right up against one another – but they are distinctly feminine at the same time. All that matters is that whether they are for men or women, these silver chains come in a variety of lengths, making it easy to find the best one for your needs.

Mix Your Metals
Silver is a metal that can easily be combined with others, in particular, gold. Silver chains with gold accents, or alternating links, provide a bit of both worlds, or “yin and yang” to your jewelry. These necklaces have the coolness of the silver and the warmth of the gold at the same time, and match all of your other pieces – after all, a gold ring and a silver pair of earrings both go with a chain made of both metals. One great example of this is a two-tone necklace with alternating fancy cut links of rose gold and sterling silver.

Add a Some Pearls
Nothing says “preppy” like a simple pearl necklace – but a pearl necklace with sterling silver accents? That’s more “classic” than anything else. The addition of the metal adds a little dimension, turning the necklace into something that is both timeless and versatile. Or, if you like more silver and less pearls, a long knotted silver chain with two single pearls dangling from the ends might be more your speed. This particular necklace works well with a casual outfit, like leggings and a long top, but it can work with a dress as well, provided the neckline doesn’t get in the way. No matter what, wear your silver chain with pride!

How to Wear Miami Cuban Link Chains

Miami Cuban link chains are the most popular type of chain in the United States. This popularity stems from its versatility. Yes, this rope-like men's chain, which is made of thinner links arranged in such a way as to make them look thicker, can be worn on any number of occasions and with everything from a suit and tie to your most casual outfit.

Everyday Work Wear
No matter the type of metal a Miami Cuban link chain is made out of – yellow gold, white gold, sterling silver or platinum – it can be worn with a suit and tie, a pair of khakis and a polo-style shirt, or whatever else it is that you wear to work. This type of chain will go with every type of work-wear, and will show your co-workers that you mean business.

Special Occasions
Nothing goes better with a tuxedo (complete with vest and tie) than a Miami Cuban link chain with some inset diamonds. Due to the style of the links, it’s easy to add some pave’ diamond detailing to a platinum or yellow gold chain, elevating what would be a simple chain into something worthy of a very special occasion. Match your watch and cufflinks to your chain, or go with a different type of metal – either way, the results will be striking!

Casual Looks
Jeans and t-shirt? A pair of shorts and a short-sleeved, polo-style shirt? Check and check – your Miami Cuban link chain can be worn with both of these looks and more! When wearing a casual outfit, make sure to wear a shorter chain, or even one that’s slightly thinner, as it won’t detract as much from the clothing itself. Longer and thicker chains are more formal, and are best saved for that tuxedo, as described above.

For Women
Yes, women can wear Miami Cuban link chains as well. Despite their macho-sounding name, thinner chains will nicely complement a work outfit, such as a suit, or either a cocktail-style or long formal dress. Miami Cuban link chains for women are very similar to their male-designed counterparts, but their thinner profile makes them slightly more feminine – and another reason as to why these chains are so popular throughout the country.

Because of the extreme versatility of Miami Cuban link chains, they make great gifts for both men and women. You can choose the type of metal (everything from yellow gold to platinum to sterling silver) and the length of the chain, both of which are easy to fit into every budget. You really can’t go wrong!

24diamonds.com carries most of Miami Cuban link chains available on the market today including different sizes, gold type and budget!

The Ruby: July’s Birthstone and So Much More...

Rubies are considered precious gemstones, because they are fairly rare to find. The color of rubies tends to vary from shades of pink to red, with the darker and redder ones as the rarest and therefore, the most prized. Gemstone Ruby jewelry is just as varied; you can find anything from rings to necklaces featuring the stone.

All about Rubies
A ruby gets its color from an element called chromium. Chromium in its natural state is a silver-colored metal, but its mineral presence in the gemstone causes it to turn red. Rubies are almost as hard as diamonds, and have a number of industrial uses, including in lasers, but are best known as jewelry. The ruby is the birthstone for those born in the month of July, and the gemstone is known to have healing properties that affect the bloodstream. The stone can be mined in many places around the world – it has even been found in the United States – but the best come from Myanmar, the Republic of Macedonia, Kenya and Thailand.

Ruby Necklaces and Bracelets
Ruby jewelry comes in many different styles, depending on the size of the stone. Small rubies can be used as accents in a pendant or bracelet, alongside diamonds and other precious gemstones. Larger ones can stand on their own, as proved by their solitary presence in pendants of various sizes. These pendants are set in either 14K gold, platinum or silver. The price of them depends on two factors: the quality of the ruby (the darker the red and fewer the inclusions the better) and the type of metal that they are set in.

Ruby Rings and Earrings
The same is true for ruby rings, which can be a great alternative to the traditional diamond engagement ring. In fact, it is not unusual to see both diamonds and rubies placed into a platinum or gold setting. In these cases, either the ruby is the large stone at the center, surrounded by smaller diamonds, or they are in the opposite order. Both are stunning, and make for an excellent anniversary, birthday or holiday gift. Ruby earrings can come in two different styles: as ruby studs, which are smaller than the earlobes, or set into metal and left dangling for the world to see. No matter which type of ruby earring you choose, they are sure to help you stand out amongst the crowd.

How to Wear Ruby Jewelry
A ruby necklace or ring can easily stand out against an all-black outfit. For example, wearing a black pantsuit (or even black leggings with a matching top) will emphasize the red in the stone. The same is true for the color white. However, ruby jewelry can be worn with just about everything – from skinny jeans and flats to an evening gown and heels. Men can even get away with a subtle ruby ring or pair of cufflinks – this gemstone truly is versatile!

Show off your "sparkle" with gemstone jewelry

What’s your favorite color? Is it blue, green or red? Maybe purple or yellow? No matter what – you’ll find a piece of gemstone jewelry in that color; it may be a stunning bracelet, a necklace, a ring, or a pair of earrings, but the choice exists. Gemstones appear in every color of the rainbow, and many have important meanings – some memorable, like birthstones, others more spiritual, such as “strength” or “peace.”

Rubies, Sapphires and Emeralds
Each of this trio of vividly colored stones are the most popular, and are the first thing to come to mind when one hears the words "gemstone jewelry". They appear in all different types of jewelry, from bracelets to rings. Some even appear alongside each other, resulting in a brightly colored masterpiece for your wrist, neck or hand.
All three of these gemstones are also birthstones: rubies for July, sapphires for September and emeralds for May. However, you don’t have to limit yourself to the stone that represents your birthday; if you like red, wear ruby earrings; prefer blue, put on a sapphire bracelet; think green matches your eyes, choose an emerald necklace.

Peridot, Citrine, Garnet and Topaz

All four of these stones: peridot, citrine, garnet and topaz, have meanings beyond those of birthstones. Peridot, which are usually yellowish-green in color, are said to have healing properties, while yellow citrine can regenerate and cleanse. Garnets and topaz (the former a deep red stone, the latter a golden yellow or sometimes blue) have healing properties as well. Whether or not this is true is up to you, but what does matter is that they make great gemstone jewelry and are commonly found in rings and earrings.

Opals, Pearls and Quartz
Supposedly, it’s bad luck to wear opal jewelry if it’s not your birthstone (which is October, for the record.) However, if you like their iridescent beauty and don’t believe in that type of luck, then look for opal rings or earrings to add to your gemstone jewelry collection. Pearls are also slightly iridescent, as are certain types of quartz. Both can be found in necklaces and bracelets.

Tanzanite, Tourmaline, and Amethyst
Tanzanite is a fairly rare stone that comes in a striking shade of bluish-purple. They are usually found in gemstone rings. The same is true of tourmaline and amethyst –maroon and lavender stones, respectively. All three are birthstones (in order: December, October and February) and they each make a statement, regardless of what type of jewelry they are set into.

No matter the types of gemstone jewelry you prefer, wear them with pride. They make great accents to any outfit, and can go from day to night with ease. With so many different gemstones to choose from, you’ll have no trouble at all finding the right ones for your budget or style. Please visit http://www.24diamonds.com/gemstone-jewelry/ for a rich gemstone jewelry selection!

Hoop Earrings for Every Occasion

There are some universal pieces of jewelry that can be worn anywhere at any time. Hoop earrings are one of them. Due to the many different styles, sizes and types of metal that they come in, you can wear a different pair of hoop earrings every day – and turn them into your signature statement piece. Or, you can pick up a few great pairs of them and save them for special occasions; the choice is yours. That is the best thing about hoop earrings – their versatility is endless!

Pave Hoop Earrings
Pave hoop earrings consist of a metal base with hundreds of tiny gemstones (usually diamonds, but sometimes a mix of diamonds and other stones like rubies, sapphires and emeralds) are stunning when worn with evening wear or a cocktail dress. When worn with other jewelry, such as necklaces and bracelets, make a nice accent piece. However, you can also wear this type of hoop earrings alone, using them to accentuate your face and the neckline of your dress.

Small Hoop Earrings
This type and size of earrings are very versatile, and can make any type of outfit look polished. They can be worn with everything from business wear (particularly a pants or skirt suit) to jeans and a nice pair of boots. Small hoop earrings are usually measured in millimeters – 2 to 3mm is the standard, and come in many different types of metals, including sterling silver and 10K gold. Feel free to wear other jewelry with them – even if the metals are different – or match them accordingly.

Large Hoop Earrings
Larger hoop earrings make more of a statement. You are more likely to see these decorated with gemstones, have an open metal work design, or have an embossed or “cut” pattern on them. Their larger size makes it easier to design intricate patterns around and on them. These earrings are measured in inches, and the size refers to the diameter. For example, you may see them sold in 1.25 or 1.5 inch sizes. You can wear this type of jewelry with the same outfits and on the same occasions as small hoop earrings, however, they will call a little more attention to themselves – and you, of course!

Hoop Earrings with Precious Gemstones
Some hoop earrings – usually the larger ones – have larger gemstones embedded in them. You’ll often find them in a mix of diamonds and a colored stone, arranged in a pattern. If you happen to find a matching necklace, bracelet or ring, you can wear them as a set for maximum impact, as long as you keep in mind that these should be worn for special occasions, otherwise people might just get used to seeing you in them, and that would detract from the attention you’ll get for wearing them!
As you can see, hoop earrings are indeed a universal type of jewelry. Thanks to their many different styles, you might put on a pair for date night, for work, or for a wedding or other black-tie event. There is nothing you can’t wear a pair of them to!

Display Your Watch in Style With Volta Watch Winders and Cases

A good quality watch needs to be well taken care of. This is why watch winders and watch cases are so important. You wouldn’t store your Mercedes in a cave, would you? Of course not – a car like that deserves to be in a garage, protected from the elements when it’s not in use. The same is true for watches. A designer watch needs to be stored in a watch winder or a watch case, not in a drawer or cardboard box; it should be kept in a Volta case.

About Volta
Volta put their 125-plus years of experience to work in every watch case and watch winder that they design. The company “was created for the everyday watch enthusiast, by an everyday watch enthusiast.” This means that they pair sophistication with practicality, and help you keep your watches in excellent condition.

Volta Watch Winders
A watch winder is like a case, only better, because the winders help your automatic (also known as self-winding) watches keep proper time when you aren’t wearing them. These particular models of watches wind themselves as you wear them – the motions that you make with your arms while you walk, talk or type keep the watch wound. A winder copies theses motions due to the tiny motors embedded in them.
Volta watch winders come in many different sizes and styles. Some only hold one or two watches, making them easy to take with you when traveling, while others hold a whopping 32 and come complete with a floor stand. These winders are for the real enthusiasts!

Volta Watch Cases
Even if you don’t have an automatic watch, you can still store it in style. Volta watch cases have your choice of wood or carbon fiber exteriors paired with leather interiors, making them easy to match to your bedroom décor. Pairings include black carbon fiber and black leather, which provides a sleek, sophisticated look; ebony wood with black leather for a classic appearance; and lighter ebony wood with cream leather for a feminine vibe. Like the watch winders, the cases comes in different sizes, most commonly for 6, 8 or 10 watches.

Volta watch winders and watch cases are designed with you – the watch enthusiast in mind. Stop storing your watch in an undeserving location. Instead, place it in a case of winder designed by Volta. You won’t regret it! 24diamonds.com is an authorized dealer of Volta cases & winders!

Classic Silver Jewelry - No Way to Go Wrong With!

Some jewelry trends come and go, but one thing stays the same: classic silver jewelry. The best thing about silver is its affordability; even those who can’t afford to buy a nice ring or elaborate pendant made from platinum or gold, might still be able to get those same styles in silver for a better price. And, like gold and platinum, silver can be worn with anything!

About Silver
Silver is a precious metal that is found in the earth, in various countries throughout the world, although it is most abundant in Mexico, Peru, Bolivia, Canada, Chile, China and Australia. It has been in use as jewelry, silverware and coinage for thousands of years. As proof of its popularity, the early Anglo-Saxon people had two different spellings of the word “silver”, and the ancient Romans used it by the ton to produce their coins. Yes – silver really is a classic metal!

Silver Bracelets for All Occasions

Although coins and other objects are still made of silver, one of its most fashionable configurations are that of silver bracelets. There are different styles to choose from, including charm bracelets, bangle style bracelets (popular because silver is malleable enough to be bent to fit just about wrist size), chain link bracelets that are similar to necklaces, and gemstone bracelets in which the stones are inset into the metal. With so many different styles, it’s no wonder that silver is so popular!

Simple Silver Rings and Earrings
Silver rings and earrings are available in many different styles. A dangle, or drop, style of earring works well with formal outfits, while a simple pair of jeweled studs with a silver base can be worn on both casual and formal occasions. As a bonus, some people who have sensitivities to different types of metal earrings usually do not have the same allergic reactions to silver.
Silver rings can be either elaborate or simple – the choice is yours. You can have one with many different gemstones, or with one single stone. They are also available with etched in patterns that have a vintage look. You really can’t go wrong with a silver ring!

Silver Pendants, Chains and Necklaces

A silver chain can be worn with just about anything. A simple, thin chain with a small pendant looks nice when paired with jeans and sneakers, and with a little black dress and heels. Yes, with silver necklaces, you can wear the same piece with both outfits – it’s that versatile! Some silver pendants allow you to proudly display your astrological sign, your favorite type of gemstone, or the religious symbol of your choice. You can also eschew the standard pendant and just wear a simple chain.

No matter your personal style, you should have no trouble at all finding a piece of silver jewelry to fit your needs and complement your outfit. Whether you want to wear a bracelet, a pendant on a chain, a set of earrings or a ring – or one of each – you’ll have plenty to pick from!
