Vladimir Putin Hands Over Swiss Watch to Factory Worker

Recentry, Russia's Prime Minister Mr. Putin surprised the workers at the plant in the town of Tula, giving one of them his watch.

Dressed in blue uniform worker Victor Zagajewski came to Putin and asked him for anything in the memory. The Prime Minister, apparently, could not think of a suitable souvenir, so he quickly took off his black watch Blancpain worth around $9000, and gave it to the shaking Zagajewski.

"My father did not expect such a generous gift" - said Zagajewski's son Dmitry. "He just wanted to get something in memory of Putin".

"I've got a watch. Neither I nor my father is not going to wear them. Now this is a family heirloom" - he added. - Workers at the plant reacted to the story differently. Some greeted Victor and called him a hero. Others felt that it was a bad move.

As they say in today's Russia's newspapers, Zagajewski proudly told Putin that he has two sons and both are in Russia's army.

Today Dmitry Zagajewski admitted that the men in his family usually wears cheap watches. According to him, 'they are not worth more than 1000 rubles ($35)'. Under normal circumstances, it would take his father two years to save enough money for this kind of watch.
